Lansing, Michigan - All Dean Transportation vehicles are equipped with global positioning systems (GPS). GPS systems increase student safety, route efficiency, driver accountability and reduce fuel usage. In addition, all vehicles have child reminder systems on board. Child reminder systems ensure a driver completes a post trip inspection for sleeping children. If the driver does not walk to the rear of the vehicle to check for a sleeping child, the vehicle will produce an audible and visual alarm.
