On Wednesday, January 25, over 50 people gathered for the launch of the Information Technology Empowerment Center’s (ITEC) TechTransport Bus. The ITEC bus is a mobile computer lab that provides students with the chance to launch into space, learn robotics, enhance their math and science skills, and much more. Bus Directors Aim to Educate Public on Safety Rules

All Districts, MI — When you see red lights on the school bus start flashing in front of you, it always means stop, right?
And when you see yellow hazard lights flashing down low on the school bus in front of you, it always means you can keep going, right?
LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – Just in time for the new school year Lansing’s Sparrow Hospital is teaming up with the Ingham County Health Department and Dean Transportation to roll out the Lansing area’s only mobile health clinic.
The clinic has the ability to go anywhere to offer free basic health care like immunizations, screenings and other services.
Officials say the clinic has the ability to fill a vital need in the community.

LANSING - If you see a school bus driving down the road sporting a cornucopia of brightly colored vegetables on its sides, chances are you’re watching the latest hunger-busting tool available in the capital region.
The Dean Transportation Leadership Team chose Ms. Sherrie Rockey as the 2016 Dean Transportation Supervisor of the Year. Dean Transportation’s Supervisor of the Year Award recognizes a Dean Transportation Supervisor who best exemplifies the mission and values of Dean Transportation during the prior year. This individual has exceeded his or her responsibilities as a Transportation Manager and has improved his or her operation to the benefit of all.
Mr. Don Sinke, Director of Transportation for Dean Transportation’s Grand Rapids Public Schools Operation, was honored with the 2016 National School Transportation Association Golden Merit Award at the National School Transportation Association Annual Awards Dinner on July 19, 2016 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Fred Doelker, Dean Transportation Director of Safety and Training, was honored during the Governor’s Traffic Safety Advisory Commission (GTSAC) annual awards luncheon Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center in East Lansing for his distinguished career in traffic safety.

TRENTON, MI - Dean Transportation raised $1,250 at its annual Bowl for Food event Friday night at the Belmar II Bowling Alley.
Director of Transportation Archie Denard said the donations will be given to the Trenton Food Pantry.
“We had a great turnout of bowlers,” said Denard. “All funds are going right back into the community to help residents in need.”

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The Boys & Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids is now able to serve more Grand Rapids schools students at its three sites thanks to a new partnership with Dean Transportation, according to Nicole Rodammer, the director of development.
In 2013, the Boys & Girls Club served 2,675 students. As of Jan. 21, GRPS is now providing bus service to current club students as well those who previously lacked transportation to the sites.
