Dean Recognized for Fighting Cancer on Multiple Fronts

Lansing, Michigan – Dean Transportation and Dean Trailways of Michigan recently were honored by the American Cancer Society, Great Lakes Division, Inc., with a Five Star Community and Five Star Investor Award.

These prestigious Five Star Awards are designed to recognize and reward worksites that consistently go above and beyond the expected by demonstrating outstanding service, using initiative and dedication in the fight against cancer through the American Cancer Society’s Workplace Solutions Program, a suite of free health, wellness and employee engagement services.  

“Dean Transportation and Dean Trailways of Michigan employees have put their time and energy into supporting cancer prevention and education programs,” said Kelly Powell, director, American Cancer Society Mid-Michigan Office in East Lansing. “It is great to see them being a leader in the fight against today’s number-one health concern. With their help we will save more lives and see fewer cases of this disease that takes so much from so many of us.” 

To earn recognition as a Five Star Community and Investor, hospitals or organizations must participate in a variety of American Cancer Society initiatives. Dean Transportation and Dean Trailways of Michigan have invested in the local community through their commitment to the following programs and services:
